Description

Belmont, located at 55 St Andrew's Street, is a building dating from 1822, which incorporates part of an 18th-century structure. It has two storeys and is constructed of gault brick, featuring an L-shaped plan with a projecting wing on the right side. A stone band runs at the cill level of the first floor, adorned with segmental arches and stone imposts. The ground floor includes a plaster Ionic porch and shutters on the window. The projecting wing has four windows on each floor, set in segmental-headed recesses, with sashes that have glazing bars. The building retains its original staircase. It has a parapet and roofs made of slate and tile, although these are not visible.
