Description

The Grove is an early 19th-century stone house with a stuccoed front elevation, located on the north side of Church Hill in Castor. It features a low-pitched Collyweston stone roof and has a moulded cornice along with a blocking course that includes a simple pedimented centre piece adorned with volutes and corner dies. A band runs at the first-floor level. The house is two storeys high and has three windows. The first-floor windows are flanked by round-headed niches, with the centre window being longer and having a moulded cornice supported on consoles. The other first-floor windows also feature cornices. The ground floor windows are full-length with plain heads and are casements. At the centre of the front is a plain four-panel door.
