Description

These are a row of four buildings, numbers 4 to 8, located on Queen Street in Peterborough. Dating from the early to mid-19th century, they are constructed of yellow brick with a slate roof and a red brick eaves cornice. The buildings are three storeys high and originally had four windows, one of which is now blocked. They feature gauged voussoirs and double-hung sash windows with glazing bars. Numbers 6 and 8 have 19th-century arcaded shop windows; number 6 incorporates modern stall risers, while number 4 has a modern shop front. Each building has a half-glazed door with a single fielded panel, and there is a passage door to the right. Numbers 4 to 10 form a visually unified group.
