Description

The Bell and Oak Hotel is an 18th-century building located in Cathedral Square, Peterborough. It stands three storeys tall, with the upper two storeys finished in rusticated stucco. The building features a parapet with four panels and a cornice above the keystones of the four windows, which are double-hung sashes with glazing bars set in moulded frames. The keystones of the first-floor windows support a band that runs between the storeys. The ground floor is made of modern brick and includes two doors and a modern glazed bow window. The Bell and Oak Hotel is part of a group that includes The Greyhound Hotel, the Old Guild Hall, and the Church of St John the Baptist on Church Street.
