Description

Grange Farmhouse is a circa early 17th-century house that was remodelled in the mid-19th century in a Tudor style; a rainwater head dated 1874 indicates later work. It is constructed with a ground floor of coursed stone, and a first floor of plastered timber frame with jetties supported by brackets and joist ends. The roof is thatched with gabled ends. The house has two storeys and a six-window range. Gables are present at the right and left, and to the left of centre, while a gabled two-storey porch with an open ground floor supported by timber posts is located to the right of centre, containing a fielded panel door. The gables have pendants. The ground floor features one- and five-light wood mullion windows in slightly projecting bays. Brick end stacks are present.
