Description

Winterfold is a probably early 17th century timber-framed house that has been fronted in coursed stone rubble during the 18th century. It features pilasters on the north side and brick at the south end, with a rear wing that contributes to its L-shaped plan. The roof is made of Collyweston stone, hipped at the north end and gabled at the south end and the wing. The house is two storeys high and has a front with a range of four windows. The 18th century windows are three-light casements with leaded panes and timber lintels. To the left of the center is a flush panel door, and there is a large brick ridge stack that is off centre. Inside, the house includes open fireplaces and chamfered ceiling beams.
