Description
Forester's Lodge and Sawmill Cottage, built around 1840, is a pair of semi-detached cottages designed in the Tudor style. The cottages are constructed from coursed stone and feature flush quoins. They have a thatched roof with gabled ends, which are adorned with shaped and pierced bargeboards. The buildings are two storeys high and consist of three bays, with the centre bay being gabled and advanced. The windows are two-light mullion/transom casements with diamond panes and drip moulds. There are semi-dormers on the first floor to the left and right. Each cottage has a porch at either end, which also has a thatched roof, and features a ledged door with a Tudor arch. Additionally, there are two ashlar chimney stacks, each topped with three large octagonal gault brick shafts that have stone caps.
