Description
Maxey Hall is a house dating from the 16th or 17th century. It is constructed from long coursed stone rubble and features a Collyweston stone roof with gabled ends. The building has two storeys and three widely spaced windows. On the ground floor, there are two stone windows with cornices; one is a three-light window with hollow chamfered mullions, while the other is a four-light window with ovolo moulded mullions. The centre first floor has a two-light window with a chamfered mullion. The remaining windows are 19th century and modern casements. There are two modern glazed doors, one of which has a keyblock. The south-west corner of the building includes a buttress with set offs. A brick chimney stack is located off centre, with another at the east end. The rear (north) side has two small stone window frames.
