Description
Nunton House is a late 17th century house that was extended in 1868 at the west end. It is constructed of coursed stone and features a Collyweston stone roof with coped gable ends. The building has two storeys and an attic, with a four-window range. On the north side, there are modern casements in the original openings, which have lintels with keyblocks, and three hipped dormers. A Victorian two-storey gabled porch is located off centre, along with a lean-to that spans the entire ground floor. There are 19th century brick ridge and end chimney stacks. The south side displays asymmetrical fenestration of sash windows. This house was once owned by a former mayor, as noted in the Victoria County History of Northamptonshire, Volume II.
