Description

Chestnut Tree Farmhouse is a 17th-century house featuring a substantial timber frame with red brick infill and a cross-wing that has colourwashed roughcast render. The building has clay tile roofs and is designed in a T-plan, standing two storeys tall. The main block includes two 3-light casements on the ground floor and one 3-light and two 2-light casements on the first floor, all equipped with glazing bars. The left-hand gable has one 3-light casement on each floor, also with glazing bars. There is a 20th-century gabled porch at the junction with the left-hand gable, and a red brick double ridge stack is aligned with this porch.
