Description

Church End Cottage is a late 16th century or early 17th century timber-framed cottage that was cased in brick in 1775, as indicated by a dated brick. The cottage features an old clay tile roof and a central brick stack. The original structure has a two-room plan with a central back-to-back fireplace and a south-facing front door on the opposite side. It is one storey with attics. The ground floor includes two 19th century leaded light windows on either side of the front door, which is topped by a shallow hood supported by brackets. There are two gabled dormers, each containing three leaded-light casements. To the west, there are brick extensions with an old clay tile roof, and there is a modern extension to the north.
