Description

House. Dating to the 17th century, the farmhouse was altered and extended in the 19th century. It is timber-framed with a pebbledash rendered exterior, with later yellow brick additions. The roofs are tiled. The south elevation shows the original two-room, two-storey block, with a central, projecting, two-storey gabled porch in line with a rebuilt brick multiple ridge stack. To the right is a later, one-storey and attic block of three-room plan. The left-hand block and the left bay of the central block are 19th-century additions and rebuildings, both two storeys high. There is a variety of window types, mostly 20th-century replacements. There are three hipped dormers on the right-hand block. A 20th-century glazed door is located on the east side of the projecting gable, and a part-glazed door is found on the right-hand block.
