Description

No. 5 is a house dating from circa 1700. It is built with a timber frame covered in colourwashed roughcast, and has a thatched roof. The house originally comprised two rooms, with a first floor and attic space. The ground floor features a 19th-century canted bay window with a tiled roof on the left-hand side, and a two-light horizontal sash window to the right. An eyebrow dormer with a two-light casement window is located in the attic on the left-hand side. A gabled porch, constructed of colourwashed brick and with a thatched roof, is present and bears a plaque inscribed "C.C.T. 1813". The front door consists of four moulded panels. A colourwashed brick ridge stack is visible. Later 20th-century single-storeyed additions extend from the rear.
