Description

29 and 31 Edward Street are an early to mid-19th century building constructed of grey brick with red dressings, topped by a Welsh slate roof with a dentil bracketed cornice. The building is three storeys high and features three sash windows on each floor, with marginal glazing bars within the reveals and flat cutter arches above. The central ground-floor window contains three lights. An archway on the left has been filled with a shop window. The right-hand side has a two-panelled door and oblong fanlight set within a reveal, surrounded by slim reeded Doric pilasters and an entablature. The buildings, along with numbers 9 to 15 (odd) and 17 to 27 (odd), form a group of local architectural interest.
