Description

Nos 52 and 54 Edward Street are early to mid 19th century buildings constructed of plum coloured brick with red dressings. They feature a Welsh slate roof with a bracketed dentil cornice. The buildings rise to three storeys and have four sash windows with marginal glazing bars, all set beneath red brick flat arches. A central round arched passageway is flanked by two doorways, each with four panel doors and oblong fanlights. The doorways have panelled reveals, slim Doric pilasters, console brackets, and dentil friezes, although the cornices have been removed. Nos 48 to 54 (even) are part of a group.
