Description

The Old Court Offices, dating from around the 1870s, is a single-storey building located on the north side of High Street. It is constructed of gault brick and features a slate roof behind a stone-capped parapet. The building has a stone cornice adorned with heavy brick modillions. It is four bays wide, with the two outer bays slightly projecting and heavily rusticated. Each of the three left-hand bays contains an arched sash window with marginal glazing bars and heavy keystones. To the right, there is a doorway topped with a semi-circular fanlight.
