Description
This is a range of barns located approximately 10 metres southeast of Hill Farmhouse, dating from the 18th and 19th centuries. The earlier section is timber framed on a red brick plinth and clad in weatherboarding, while the later section is made of light mottled brick. The entire range has a half-hipped clay tile roof. The earlier southern part consists of four bays and features a clasped purlin queen strut roof structure. The later section extends northwards by an additional two bays. On the west elevation, both parts have an opening below the eaves with a plank shutter. The later section includes a cambered headed doorway with a stable door, while the earlier right-hand part has a cart entrance with double plank doors. This barn range is included for its group value with the farmhouse.
