Description

The garden wall, arcades, pergola, and fish pond basin are located at the rear of The Lodge and date from 1869 to 1870. The terraced garden features a stone wall with circular openings and a central fish pond that has a stone basin and coping. There is also a pergola from around 1900 made of re-used limestone, supported by Doric columns and timber beams. To the south-east and south-west of the house, there are small areas with arcades constructed of similar re-used limestone and timber, although some of the columns here are plain rectangular ironstone.
