Description
The Entrance Lodge, built in the 1870s, is a yellow brick structure designed in the Swiss chalet style, possibly reflecting the Swiss cottage that once stood on the site of the main house. It is two storeys tall and features a slate roof with stone dressings. The first floor showcases mock timber-framing and includes six casement windows with geometric glazing bars. The third opening from the left contains a door of a similar style, which leads onto a projecting gabled balcony supported by heavy brackets, adorned with finials and a carved balustrade. The ground floor features three pairs of windows with pointed arched heads and geometric glazing bars in the top lights, while the doorway also has a similar arched head.
