Description
Nos 94 and 96 High Street is a house that has been divided into two dwellings. It dates from the 17th century or earlier and features timber-framed construction, with parts of the ground floor reworked in brick and finished with colourwashed roughcast render. The building has clay tile roofs and is designed in a T-plan layout, with the main block consisting of two storeys and attics, and a cross-wing that is also two storeys high, located to the left-hand side. To the right of the main block, there is a smaller two-storey gable that projects in line with the main structure and may have originally served as a porch gable. The entire elevation includes three windows on both the ground and first floors, all of which are two-light casements. The main block features a doorway next to the projecting gables, which consists of a four-panel door set beneath a flat hood supported by cut brackets. The smaller gable aligns with a substantial red brick double ridge stack.
