Description
Nos. 46 and 48 on High Street are two houses located in Stagsden. The western part of the building dates from the late 17th century or early 18th century and features colourwashed roughcast with a thatched roof. It is one storey high with attics and has three eyebrow dormers, each containing 2-light casements with leaded panes. The ground floor has three modern casements and a small gabled hood on cut brackets above the modern front door. The eastern part of the building is from the late 18th century and is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with an old clay tile roof. This section is two storeys tall and has a single-storey outhouse attached to the right side. There are two first-floor casements, with the right-hand one being leaded, and a small ground floor casement.
