Description

The Old Vicarage is a large former vicarage built in the mid-19th century, with a datestone indicating the year 1844. The building is constructed from coursed limestone rubble and has a clay tile roof. It features an L-shaped plan with one arm that is double pile and of unequal sizes, suggesting earlier architectural elements. The structure has two storeys and attics, with one external stack and stone coped gable ends. The eaves are moulded, adding to the decorative detail.

On the north elevation, there is a central bay that is slightly set forward, which includes a small ground floor oriel window and two ground floor three-light windows with stone mullions. The east front gable end features a three-light window on the first floor beneath the datestone and three-light French windows, all of which have glazing bars. The south elevation has a double gable end on the right side that projects forward, complemented by a hipped bay window. Additionally, there is a porch adorned with fish-scale tiles and a recessed door located in the angle of the L plan.
