Description
Bletsoe Cottage is a late 17th century or early 18th century house that was altered in the 19th century. It is built of coursed limestone rubble and has an old clay tile roof. The building has two storeys and attics. On the ground floor, there are two modern French windows and a central 19th century porch with a heavy square moulded hood. The first floor features two sash windows with glazing bars and a central square-headed dormer that breaks the eaves line. There are also two modern dormers in the roof. The rear wing of the main house is likely older, constructed of rubble limestone with an old clay tile roof and a one-sided central fireplace. This wing also has two storeys and attics. To the right of the main house is a 19th century extension made of local brick, also with an old clay tile roof, which has two storeys and one French window.
