Description

No. 157 is an 18th-century house located on Bedford Road in Wootton. The front elevation features exposed timber-framing, while the rest of the building is covered in colourwashed plaster. It has an old clay tile roof and is designed in an L-shape with a rear wing. The house is two storeys tall. On the first floor of the facade, there are three casement windows with glazing bars; the two outer windows have three lights each, and the central window has two lights. The entrance features a six-panel door with a flat doorhood, flanked by two five-light casement windows, also with glazing bars.
