Description

This is a mid-19th century lodge, likely built around an earlier structure. It is constructed of brick with some rough cast, the elevations being colour-washed, and has an old clay tile roof. The lodge follows an L-shaped plan, with a main one-storey-and-attic block and single-storey extensions to the west and south. It is built in a cottage ornée style. The north wing has a projecting bay with a hipped tile roof and a cast iron lattice window. A small, pointed arched window with interlocking tracery is located in the attic, and the bargeboards feature a drop finial. The south elevation of the north wing has two-light cast iron lattice casement windows. The main block has two-light casements with glazing bars on the ground floor, and a gabled dormer with a two-light horizontal sash window.
