Description

The Howard Building at Bedford School is an 18th-century structure made of red brick with an old tile roof. It stands three storeys high and features seven double-hung sash windows that have flat arches and louvred shutters. The building has bands at the floor levels, a plinth, and a modillion brick cornice. There are two doorways, each with later trellis porches. On the side return elevation, there is a doorway adorned with an architrave, frieze, and pediment. This building is reputed to have originally served as a Moravian Meeting House.
