Description
Crofton Rooms, located at 27 Saint Cuthbert's Street, is an 18th-century building. It features a cement plinth and is constructed of red brick with an old tile roof that has a modillion cornice and a parapet. The building has two storeys and attics, with a central pediment that includes a lunette in the tympanum and two hipped dormers. The façade consists of a symmetrical arrangement of windows: two, one, and two sashes, all with flat arches. There is a slight central projection. The entrance boasts a four-fielded, two-flush panel door with a fanlight, surrounded by ribbed pilasters and consoles, topped with an open pediment that has a round arch and a mask keyblock.
