Description
Middle Farmhouse is a house dating from the 17th century or early 18th century, with a new main range added to the south end, likely in the early 19th century. The entire building is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features an old clay tile roof. The original main wing, which is two storeys high, is oriented gable end to the road. On the west elevation, there is a small box dormer and a ground floor two-light casement window. To the left, there is a projecting gabled wing that is one storey with attics, which has an attic doorway in the gable end, suggesting it was originally used for storage. The windows are irregularly spaced 20th-century casements set under heavy timber lintels. There is a hipped roof porch located in the angle between the wings. The 19th-century south wing is two storeys with attics, featuring three gabled dormers on the south elevation. The first floor has three casement windows with glazing bars, with the two outer ones being two-light. The ground floor includes two three-light casements and a central doorway. All openings are adorned with ashlar heads that have keystones.
