Description
Yew Tree House is a Grade II listed house located on Oakley Westfield Road, built in 1862 as part of the Bedford Estate. The structure is made of coursed limestone rubble with ashlar quoins and features a clay tile roof with bracketed stone eaves. It is one storey high with attics.
The west entrance front has a left-hand projecting gable that includes an attic 2-light mullion casement and a ground floor canted bay. To the right, there is a similar ground floor 2-light casement. The gabled porch has stone coping and a square-headed moulded doorway. The north elevation facing the road showcases two large gables, with two 2-light casements on each floor. At the rear, there is a small projecting gabled wing. All windows are cast iron lattice casements.
