Description
Haye Farmhouse and the attached barn are a farmhouse and barn dating from the 17th century, with later additions from the late 18th century, mid-18th century, mid-19th century, and some alterations from the late 20th century. The structure is timber-framed with painted brick infill, along with painted brick and random rubble additions, all topped with a tile roof. The house consists of three framed bays aligned north to south, with the barn added to the south and a late 18th-century brick addition on the northeast corner.
On the north front, there is a gabled late 18th-century extension to the left featuring a gable end stack and a 2-light casement window on the ground floor. To the right, the main gable has one storey with a gable-lit attic. The entrance, located to the right on the ground floor, is approached by four brick steps and features a moulded wooden architrave, a flat canopy, and a 20th-century ledged and boarded door. The framing of the house consists of three square panels high.
