Description
The stables located east north east of Strensham Court are a range built in the 18th century. They are constructed of red brick with stone detailing and feature a hipped slate roof with a moulded stone eaves cornice. The building is L-shaped and has two storeys. The south elevation consists of a layout of 1:3:1 bays, while the east elevation has 2:3:2 bays. The central three bays on both sides are slightly advanced and include a large pediment with a circular window and a bay block. There is a central ground floor doorway framed by a rusticated architrave. The original openings now contain modern casements. These stables were formerly associated with Strensham Court, which was built in 1824 but was destroyed by fire in 1974.
