Description

105 Friar Street is a late 18th-century building with a painted brick front. It is two stories tall and features three windows on the upper floor, two of which are blank. The building has a flared bay window adorned with a moulded wood cornice and modillions. On the lower floor, there are two 12-pane sash windows and a central door topped with a pediment hood. The right-hand return end of the building is curved and includes a door with a ceil-de-boeuf light beside it, as well as a round-headed window with "Gothic" tracery glazing bars. The rear of the building also showcases several of these "Gothic" windows. The eaves are decorated with brick modillions, and the roof is hipped and covered with old tiles. Nos 99 to 107 form a good group.
