Description
The Crown and Trumpet Public House is an early 19th-century building with 17th-century elements, located on Church Street in Broadway. It is constructed of square limestone and features a stone slate roof that is hipped on the left side. The building has two storeys with an attic and is arranged in three bays. The windows are primarily sashed with glazing bars, except for the middle bay, which has a casement window with glazing bars on the ground floor. The right-hand bay includes a single-storey square bay window set on a stone base, topped with a pitched roof. This bay has two sashed windows facing forward and one on each return wall. Adjacent to it is a short length of a 17th-century style hood mould. There is one dormer in the attic, and the right-hand gable is coped with a chimney. The door, located between the first and second bays, has a chamfered surround. The left-hand return wall, facing north, is made of limestone rubble on the ground floor and brick above.
