Description
Middle Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse constructed from blue lias stone, featuring a plain tile roof. The building is designed in an L-plan with a wing that projects towards the road. It has end wall stacks on the main range, with stone bases, and one of these features a stone shaft. There is also one ridge stack. The farmhouse is one and a half storeys tall and includes three stone dormer gables fitted with aluminium windows. On the ground floor, there are two stone-framed windows with hoodmoulds: one is a triple window, and the other is a four-light casement with iron opening lights. The entrance has a modern door. The projecting gabled wing has aluminium windows on both the gable end and the south side. At the rear of the house, there is a three-light stone mullioned window with a damaged hoodmould, as well as a hoodmould and frame from another window that has been broken to accommodate a garden door. A long barn range is located at the rear but is not included in the listing.
