Description
The Old College, located on Main Street in Elmley Castle, is a building that dates from the 16th to 17th century. It originally served as the rectory for the College warden and the chantry priests. The structure is primarily made of stone, with a later brick front. It is two stories tall and features three windows, with casements and bays on the ground floor. The entrance includes a panelled door set within a moulded case. The north gabled end of the building is timber framed and plastered, while a stone cross wing is situated on the south side. Additionally, the rear of the building has a projecting wing on the north. The Old College is adjacent to the Village Hall, and it is part of a group of listed buildings along the east side of Main Street.
