Description

The Cloisters is a 17th-century building located on Main Street in Elmley Castle. It has an L-shaped plan and is constructed of stone, featuring two storeys and attics. The projecting gabled wing includes a modern casement window with an 18th-century keystone and lintel. The original windows have been blocked, and a splayed attic light has been damaged. The main block has a restored three-light mullion window and a modern doorcase. On the north side, there is a small timber-framed wing that shares the same roof and has a tiled covering with a central stone stack. All the listed buildings on the east side of Main Street are part of a group.
