Description

The Pile of Stones is a cottage with origins dating back to the 17th century, which has been extended over time. It is constructed from blue lias stone and features a plain tile roof. The earlier part of the building has one and a half to two and a half storeys, while the west end, added in the 19th century, is two storeys and made of brick. The original section has a two-room plan that is canted. It includes casement windows and one half dormer. A stone chimney with a brick stack is situated between the two earlier sections. The cottage was formerly known as Eastcott.
