Description

This is an 18th-century range of four modest cottages on Church Street. They are constructed of painted brick with a stone plinth. The cottages are two storeys high with an attic, and have four sash windows, set within broad surrounds. The window to number 19 has altered glazing bars. A decorative band runs along the front of numbers 17 and 19. Doorways to numbers 15 and 17 feature keyblocks and plain lintels, with four-flush-panelled doors; the doorway to number 19 has been altered. Three gabled dormers light the attic space, and the roof is tiled. The cottages form a group with numbers 1 to 13 (odd) and The Swan Hotel on Port Street.
