Description

The Nook is a house dating from the 17th century, specifically 1697, constructed from painted rubble stone and topped with a stone tile roof. It features end wall stacks and a stone base for the northern stack. The building is two storeys high with a two-window range. On the first floor, there are three-light casements, while the ground floor includes a central door with a tiled hood above it, a garage door to the left, and a casement window to the right. A datestone from 1697 is set in an oval plaque on the first floor. There is evidence on the end wall indicating that the building was heightened from its original one-storey design. At the rear, there are two gabled sections, each two storeys high with an attic.
