Description
This is a garden wall built in the late 18th century, located about 250 yards north-west of Hanbury Hall. It is constructed of brick in English garden wall bond and features sandstone coping. The wall stands approximately 10 feet high and stretches 40 yards long in a south-west to north-east direction, with a south-west return that is about 5 yards long, ending in a square pier topped with a pyramidal cap. This wall was part of a former walled garden, of which one other section remains, attached to another complete walled garden. Both gardens still have their orchards and are included as part of the garden layout of Hanbury Hall.
