Description
Tudor House is a house dating from around 1620, with alterations and extensions made in 1901. It features a timber-framed structure with painted brick and rendered infill, as well as brick replacement walling and a concrete tiled roof. The house has two framed bays and a large external chimney at the rear, which includes offsets, a bread oven, and a rebuilt stack. It is a single storey with an attic that has a dormer. The framing is double-pegged, consisting of three panels from the sill to the wall-plate, with short straight braces in the upper corners. The south gable end has a collar and tie-beam truss that has been partly rebuilt in brick.
On the front elevation, the ground floor has a two-light casement window in each bay. The right bay features a gabled dormer with moulded bargeboards and a finial, a two-light casement, and a 20th-century door beneath it. The door and the adjacent window have a plank weathering. There is also an attic light in the south gable end. The interior has not been inspected. Additionally, there is a two-storey cross-wing built in 1901 at the north gable end.
