Description

The Midland Bank, located at 32 Bridge Street, is an 18th-century building that has been well restored in the Georgian style. It is constructed of red brick and features three storeys. The facade includes pilasters at the sides and five sash windows, which alternate between triangular and segmental pediments. Notable details include well-crafted lead rainwater heads and downpipes, a moulded brick cornice at the first floor and at the eaves, and a panelled parapet. The ground storey has bank windows in facsimile, with a pilaster doorway on either side, each topped with a segmental pediment.
