Description

No. 13 High Street is a large timber-framed house dating from 1603, as indicated by a painted date on the building. It has two storeys and an attic, topped with a plain tile roof. The front features three gables and a three-window range, with close-set vertical studding and renewed moulded bargeboards. The attic has casement windows, while the first floor has glazing bar sash windows. Below, there are 19th-century and modern shopfronts. At the rear, there is a two-storey gabled extension that combines painted brick and exposed timber.
