Description
Yewleigh Lodge is a substantial brick house built in the mid-18th century. It stands three storeys high with a hipped plain tile roof and chimney stacks at both ends. The façade features a three-window range of exposed box glazing bar sashes, with keystones that support cornices above the ground and first floor windows. There is an eaves box cornice along the top. The entrance is marked by a fine moulded wood doorcase, which is flanked by Corinthian columns that support a broken pediment or sections of entablature. The arched doorway includes elaborate tracery in the fanlight, as well as panelled sides and an arch soffit. The door itself is a six-panel design.
