Description

The Eades and The Hayloft at The Eades is an early 19th-century brick house that has been significantly extended. It is a two-storey building with low-pitched slate roofs. The original central section features sixteen- and twenty-pane sash windows set in surrounds with slightly cambered heads. There are additions with gable ends on the north and south sides, and a two-storey, three-sided bay that projects from the south gable. A long service wing extends from the northwest end of the building. At the rear, there is a projecting porch supported by simple Tuscan columns, with a door framed by a reeded arched surround and topped with a fanlight.
