Description
Middle Broomhall Farmhouse is a house dating from the 17th and early 18th centuries. It features timber-framing with brick infill and a tile roof. The left-hand (south) range is two storeys high and consists of two bays, framed in four rows of square panels, with an additional row of shallow panels beneath the eaves. The windows are 20th-century casements, and there is a door located in the right-hand bay within a gabled porch. A chimney is positioned to the right.
To the right of the main building, there is a lower, narrow range from the 17th century that connects to a two-storey cross-wing. This range includes a window on the ground floor. The cross-wing is also framed in square panels and consists of one bay. Its left-hand return wall features a long straight tension brace. The roof of the wing is half-hipped at the front, and the truss includes raking struts between the tie-beam and collar.
