Description

The grotto at the head of the lake in Croome Park is a picturesque structure dating from around 1795, likely designed by James Wyatt. It is constructed of vermiculated stone and features two rough arched recesses. On the east side, there is a broken Coade stone plaque with a Latin inscription. The grotto once housed a Coade stone statue of a nymph.
