Description
Littlewood House, formerly known as Poolbrook House, is a building that likely dates from the late 17th century, with alterations made in the late 18th century or early 19th century. It features a timber-framed structure with rendered infill panels and a tiled roof. The house has two storeys and an attic.
On the ground floor, there is a canted bay window with leaded lights on either side of a doorway that has a tiled pitch roof and a canopy that connects to the tiled roofs of the bay windows. To the right, there is a single-storey lean-to with leaded casement windows. The first floor includes four square casement windows, two with four lights and two with two lights, all featuring pointed glazing bars. The roof has three gabled dormers, two of which also have pointed glazing bars.
To the right and slightly set forward, there is a single-storey extension with a pentagonal end and a bay door featuring leaded lights, along with a tall brick chimney. The rear elevation displays three asymmetrical gabled extensions with irregular window arrangements and a flat-roofed single-storey addition. The casement windows include some with leaded lights and one with pointed glazing bars.
