Description

The Royal Oak is an 18th-century brick house with a facade re-rendered in stucco during the early 19th century. It is two storeys high with a valley roof covered in plain tiles. The front of the building has two windows. A high blank brick wall extends above the first floor, topped with a parapet. The ground floor windows are sash windows with panelled reveals, and they contain glazing bars. A central doorway is topped with a hood supported by brackets. On the west side, two windows are visible as exposed box sash windows with cambered surrounds. There are two dormers. The central door is four-panelled and set within a pilastered doorcase which has a frieze and hood.
