Description

26 The Strand is an early 18th-century building with a brick facade, standing two storeys tall with an attic. It features five windows on the first floor, which are sashes set in wide cased frames. On the right side, there is a six-fielded panel door with plain reveals. The eaves are adorned with a moulded stone cornice, though it is in poor repair. To the left, there is a modern plate glass shop front with a painted surround. The roof has three gabled dormers and is covered with old tiles. This building, along with 16-24 The Strand, forms a group.
